The videos "Femi Bright Future" and "A Bloody Mess" were created in 2022 as part of the bilateral German-Kenyan youth exchange #ExchangeForEquality. Both videos are part of an international campaign of 16 videos that were produced for UN Women's "16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence". The campaign thus aims to contribute to achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 5 - Gender Equality by 2030.
The content of the campaign was developed in work groups. For the research, various NGOs in Nairobi, Kenya, and Berlin, Germany, that are committed to gender equality were visited in May 2022 and August 2022.
The video Femi Bright Future introduces a program by Esther Nzambi, who founded Femi Bright Future as a student to provide women in poor neighborhoods in Nairobi with workshops and menstrual products.
